A second-prize Cash4Life lottery ticket worth $1,000 a week for the winner’s life was sold for Monday’s drawing at a Hunterdon County gas station.
The ticket — worth $1 million if the winner chose the cash option — was bought at a Valero gas station on Route 202/31 in Flemington, New Jersey Lottery officials said Tuesday. It matched five numbers but not the Cash Ball.
Monday’s winning numbers were 12, 16, 20, 34 and 40. The Cash Ball was: 1.
In July, a Cash4Life jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at a convenience store in nearby Hawthorne.
The odds of a $2 ticket winning the $1,000 a day for life (or $7 million cash) jackpot are 21,846,048 to 1. It’s a 1 in 7,282,016 shot to mach five numbers and win the second prize.
Cash4Life tickets are sold in New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia.
