HAYWARD — A Fantasy 5 California lottery game ticket worth $171,867 was sold Tuesday at a gas station here, officials said.
The winner apparently has not come forward yet.
Tuesday night’s Fantasy 5 jackpot was $343,734 and only two tickets that had all five winning numbers, which were 4, 8, 11, 15 and 30 were sold statewide, including the one at the Speedway gas station, 2522 Mission Boulevard.
The other winner purchased their ticket at a Hanford gas station, officials said.
A Speedway employee said Wednesday they had heard someone won but didn’t know it was that much. No one has come in yet saying they were the winner, the employee said. It was the largest win ever for lottery tickets sold at the station, the employee said.
The ticket holder has 180 days to claim their winnings.
Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Wednesday night’s top jackpot was estimated to be at least $74,000.
