In Dauphin County, the average house was on the market for just 18 days in May, which is four days faster than both Perry and Cumberland counties.

The Greater Harrisburg Association of Realtors recently released the housing numbers for May.

There were 347 units sold during the month of May for an average price of $231,434.

While there were eight more units sold in May 2019 than in May 2021, the average price for a house in the county in May 2019 was just $203,168.

The housing market has come a long way since last May. For most or part of May 2020, many counties in the state were still under Pennsylvania’s red phase restrictions, which prohibited the sale of real estate.
