U.S. equity futures advanced ahead of a U.S. jobs report that could be a determining factor for Federal Reserve policy makers deciding when to begin withdrawing pandemic-era stimulus. Treasuries fell.
Contracts on the S&P 500 posted a slight gain after energy shares drove the gauge to an all-time high Thursday. A global stock index was also at an unprecedented level. The 10-year Treasury yield traded near 1.3% and the dollar was steady near a four-week low.
