STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Somebody among us bought themselves a nice payday.

The New York Lottery announced on Sunday that one of the six tickets sold for April 23′s drawing, worth $50,000, was sold on Staten Island.

Each winning ticket has four matching numbers and the Powerball, placing them in third.

The ticket was purchased at Anujee Grocery Inc. located at 328 Victory Blvd., Tompkinsville, and has yet to be claimed.

The Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69. The Powerball number is drawn from one to 26. The drawing is broadcasted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, at 11 p.m.

Powerball players with Saturday’s draw can check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov or the New York Lottery app, to determine if they have the winning ticket.

A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery continues to be touted as North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.59 billion during the fiscal year 2020-21 to support education in New York State.

New Yorkers struggling with a gambling addiction, or who know someone who is, can find help by calling the State’s toll-free, confidential HOPEline at 1-877-8-HOPENY (1-877-846-7369) or by texting HOPENY (467369).
