CLEVELAND, Ohio — A house in Shaker Heights with nearly 8,900 square feet of usable space nabbed the most money of any home sold in Cuyahoga County in March, according to property records.

The colonial-style house, complete with a pillared entrance, at 18200 S. Park Blvd. sold on March 2 for $2.15 million. It sits on an acre of land and has six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, five half-bathrooms and a four-car garage. It was built in 1937.

All 10 of the most expensive homes sold in the county last month went for more than $1 million. Six were in the western suburbs, the other four were east of Cleveland.

Thirteen houses in the county sold for more than $1 million.

Real estate agents have said they do not see home sale prices coming down any time soon. The housing market locally and across the country has been hot for the past two years, fueled by low interest rates, too few new homes being built and a demand for more space during the coronavirus pandemic. Even as more homes went on the market, prices in the Greater Cleveland area and state as a whole have seen price jumps almost every month for the past two years.

In Cuyahoga County, that led to a 10.7% increase in the median home sale price last year. Agents do not expect home sale prices to stop increasing as the spring and summer housing markets draws nearer.

Agents have also said, however, that the market competition has a cap, and that homes go for amounts approaching and above $1 million is far less fierce.

Below you can find a list of the 10 homes that sold for the most in the county in March.
