LANSING, MI – A player in Michigan won $1 million, but there was no winner of the $143 million Powerball jackpot for the drawing held on Wednesday, May 5.
That means the Powerball drawing on Saturday, May 8 will be worth $157 million with a cash option of $108.2 million.

Powerball winners for May 5:
· Along with the Michigan player, a player in Florida also matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million.
· However, neither player also played the Power Play option which would have increased their winnings to $2 million.
· The $1 million winner sold in Michigan was bought at the Warren Market, located at 28069 Mound Rd, Warren
· There were 525,678 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing. In Michigan, 17,243 tickets sold won at least $4 in the drawing.
Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26). Tickets cost $2 each.
