The Princeton Festival’s 17th season includes four live, in-person concerts that are on the brink of being sold out. Fortunately for non-ticketholders, those performances also will be live-streamed on the internet for at-home viewing.

The festival will be rounded out by three online-only concerts and a variety of free lectures and panel discussions.

The 2021 performances will commence 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, with the online YouTube streaming of a prerecorded Concordia Chamber Players’ program of works by Giocomo Puccini, Hugo Wolf, Jean Françaix and others. Tickets are $25.

Next up will be a virtual version of the festival’s annual International Piano Competition Finals, prerecorded for posting 3 p.m. Sunday, June 6. Tickets are $20.

The live performances will take place outdoors at Morven Museum and Garden in Princeton, starting with the festival’s “Baroque Chamber Series” offerings 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, and Thursday, June 10. Titled “Sacred and Profane,” the programs will include works by J.S. Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Henrich Biber, Girolamo Frescobaldi and others. Tickets are $45-$75 for a space to accommodate two, but as of May 27, the June 10 show was sold out. The concerts can be viewed live online for $25.

Also sold out are the two scheduled “Opera by Twilight” in-person performances, 7 p.m. Sundays, June 10 and 17. The live-stream can be accessed for $30.

Completing this year’s festival lineup will be the 7 p.m., Thursday, June 17, posting of the Kosmologia Ensemble’s prerecorded production of “Dreaming and Undreaming,” an interdisciplinary art-music video based on stories by Jorge Luis Borges, commissioned by the Princeton Festival.

“Dreaming and Undreaming” also will be the topic of the first of eight free talks and interviews on the schedule, 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, on Zoom. For a full list, visit theprincetonfestival.org.
