SNOWSHOE — The annual Treasure on the Mountain celebration slated for Saturday at Snowshoe Mountain Resort was officially announced as a sold-out event on Tuesday.
Officials have sold all of the tickets to this year’s event, which will feature the raffling off of $300,000 in cash and prizes, including trucks, cars, ATVs, guns and many other items. Winners do not have to be present to win.
Tickets that were purchased for this year’s event can be picked up in the Village next to the Info Shack all week leading up to the event. Will Call will open today and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Friday Will Call will be open 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. On the day of the event Will Call will be open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Gates will open for Saturday’s event at 1 p.m. Guest passes can only be purchased the day of the event at the gate.
Guests to the event will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of food and drinks, along with live entertainment. Regular and side prize drawings will take place every five minutes throughout the entire day.
Treasure on the Mountain returns to a full-strength, in-person event this year after being scaled down in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions. Snowshoe will offer personal protective equipment for people attending if they desire, including masks and hand sanitizer.
Canopies and chairs will be allowed into the event. However, children under 18 years of age, pets, coolers and outside beverages are not allowed into the event.
Treasure on the Mountain is sponsored by the Snowshoe Foundation. The foundation’s mandate is to provide financial support to local community organizations whose activities benefit residents living in Pocahontas, Webster, and Randolph Counties. Treasure on the Mountain is the Snowshoe Foundation’s biggest annual fundraiser.
