RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Friday that Saturday's inaugural UTRGV South Padre Island Battle on the Beach, featuring men's basketball games between UTRGV and Northern Arizona at 1 p.m. as well as Texas Tech and Incarnate Word at 4 p.m. at the South Padre Island Convention Centre, is sold out.
 
UTRGV Athletics has sold all 1,340 seats. This includes tickets tickets set aside for UTRGV students, which are free, but have already been claimed by students. Season ticket holders have tickets for the Battle on the Beach included as part of their season ticket package.
 
Tickets to future UTRGV basketball games are available online at UTRGVTickets.com or by contacting the UTRGV Athletics Ticket Office team of Seth Jones (956-665-3877), Carlos Munoz (956-665-3747) and Eddie Galvan (956-665-3415) over the phone or through email at tickets@utrgv.edu.
 
Fans unable to attend in person can watch both games in the United States on ESPN+ and the UTRGV game internationally on the WAC Digital Network.
