Gordon Murray's T.33 Is Already Sold Out - RoadandTrack.com

rinwengi.blogspot.com

Gordon Murray's T.33 supercar was bound to be a hit. Murray's T.50, a long-awaited McLaren F1 successor from the original designer, sold out just 48 hours after it debuted. The slightly less expensive T.33 lasted slightly longer on the market, but as of today, Gordon Murray Automotive has announced that it has also completely sold out.

While the T.50 sold out a year and a half before production was set to begin, the T.33 has sold out two full years before production begins in 2024. In both cases, buyers had to rush to grab one of just 100 allocations slots. T.33 buyers have the added benefit of paying a lower price, though; the entry level to the Gordon Murray Automotive lineup costs just $1.85 million.

Those buyers will be getting something close to the ultimate enthusiast's supercar. While the 607 horsepower produced by the 4.0 liter- Cosworth V-12 may pale in comparison to some higher-powered hypercars, that engine revs to 11,100 RPM even in its more road-ready state in the T.33. Add in a manual transmission and a weight of just 2400 pounds and you have the greatest nineties-style supercar modern technology can offer.

While GMA will build more cars from here, this was the last chance for buyers to buy a GMA supercar without any electric assistance. Even though the Cosworth V-12 will stick around, the T.33 is the last non-hybrid car Murray's firm plans to build.
