A waterfront property in the Perdido Key Coves subdivision sold for $1.62 million last month, making it the most expensive home sold in the Pensacola area during the month of November.
The custom-made home has oak trim along the interior of its 3,111 square feet and features 20-inch ceilings, four bedrooms, three bathrooms and open architecture throughout its two floors. The home’s south side was refurbished with all-new doors and windows prior to its sale.
Outside, the home has three swim platforms and a deep-water boat slip providing access to the Old River.
The property is a five-minute walk to the beach and is also situated next to the Perdido Key State Park.
The house is positioned in a manner that takes advantage of the water views and breezes as well as the coastal sunrises and sunsets. It is nestled behind lush vegetation and trees, offering both shade and some privacy for the porch and the home's residents.
The living and dining rooms both offer a view of the water with an accompanying porch spanning the house.
One of the home’s standout architectural details is its spiral staircase made of oak wood that leads to the second floor. Both floors feature a row of glass doors and windows providing a long view of the water.

The home's architecture echoes the styles of Frank Lloyd Wright, an American architect whose work became renowned over the course of his 70-year career during the last century. Wright is credited by some for creating the first "truly American architecture style."
The home was listed for sale in August by Brucie Glassell, founder of Gulf Front Properties Realty. The home sold on Nov. 3 with the assistance of Alison Davenport and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Main Street Properties.
