One ticket sold in the Golden State matched all five white balls and the Megaball to claim the $22 million jackpot, according to the lottery website. The lottery player will also have the option of taking the $17.9 million cash option.
The winning ticket was sold a Chevron gas station on Limonite Avenue in Mira Loma, according to the California lottery site.

The winning numbers drawn for Friday, July 31 were: 12 - 35 - 46 - 48 - 69 and Megaball: 23. Megaplier was 2x .
It's the second time the lottery jackpot was won in a week. Last Friday, a New Jersey lottery player won a $124 million jackpot.
The Mega Millions jackpot now resets to $20 million for next Tuesday night's drawing.
Meanwhile, the Powerball drawing is at $137 million for Saturday's drawing.. The cash option for Saturday's drawing will be $112.7 million, according to the Powerball website.
