The major averages moved lower on Friday as jitters surrounding rising U.S.-China tensions as well as stimulus talks dragging on offset better-than-expected July jobs data. The Dow and S&P were on track to snap 5-day winning streaks, while the Nasdaq Composite was on pace for its first negative session in eight. Gold hit another record high on Friday, and was on track for its ninth straight week of gains for the first time since 2006.
