European stocks headed for the longest streak of record closes since 1999 as strong earnings and economic reopenings boosted cyclical and luxury shares.
The Stoxx 600 Index rose 0.2%, poised for a tenth straight record close, as retailers led gains and tech shares lagged. France’s CAC 40 approached the highest in more than two decades. Sentiment was boosted by corporate results, with Danish software maker SimCorp A/S climbing as much as 3.5% after earnings and a new CEO announcement.
