The entity that purchased Mike Shanahan’s mansion in Cherry Hills Village last week is affiliated with the CEO of a Denver-based investment management firm.
The 32,254-square-foot mansion at 8 Cherry Hills Park Drive sold on Oct. 21 for $15.725 million to TenTwo Holdings LLC, according to records recorded by Arapahoe County.
A document recorded in connection with the sale lists Richard Diecidue as manager of the LLC.
Diecidue is CEO of Unicom Capital, which has offices in Denver and New York City, according to its website. The Denver office is located on the top floor of 1144 Fifteenth, the 40-story tower completed by Houston-based Hines in 2018.
Diecidue did not respond to requests for comment made prior to the sale and again Thursday.
The Wall Street Journal, which broke news of the sale last week, only identified the buyer as “a longtime Colorado resident,” citing a listing broker.
Diecidue already lives in Cherry Hills Village. He is the manager of an LLC that paid $6.7 million for a home on Meade Lane in the municipality in 2000, records show.
The sale by Shanahan set a record for the price of a single-family home in the Denver area. The former Denver Broncos head coach finished building the home in 2008. He listed it for sale for $22 million in 2016, later dropping the price to $19.75 million in 2019 and $16.95 million this year.
The deal narrowly missed setting a local record for residential properties overall. One of the two penthouses atop the Four Seasons building in downtown Denver sold for $16 million in early 2020.
