Around 6:42 Memorial Day morning firefighters were called to the 5500 block of Pigeon Hill Road in Jackson Township for a working structure fire, according to York 911.

No one was injured in the fire, said Nashville Volunteer Fire Chief Brad Dunham.

Dunham noted that the house had recently sold and that new residents were just starting to move in. Online listings for the address show that the house had sold just four days prior to the fire, on May 21.

Dunham said the State Police Fire Marshall was requested to investigate, as the cause is unclear. Northern Regional PD are also investigating. The fire appeared to have started in the basement and burned through into the attic, said Dunham.
