FALLING WATERS, W.Va. — Someone purchased a winning Mega Millions ticket in West Virginia worth $1 million before Tuesday night’s drawing.
The West Virginia Lottery said the ticket was sold in Berkeley County at the Spring Mills BP in Falling Waters.
The winning ticket matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball. The winning numbers were 7-13-17-21-45 and the Mega Ball was 14.
There were four $1 million tickets sold across the U.S. The others were in California, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
The winning player has 180 days to claim the prize. They are encouraged to call the state Lottery at 304-558-0500.
The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday will be an estimated $231 million.
