Friday’s lucky lottery winner could be from right here in North Jersey. The executive director for the lottery announced that the winning ticket was sold in Hudson County for the $124 million jackpot.
James Carey, Jr. announced Saturday that the only Mega Millions jackpot winning ticket was sold at Brenda’s Inc. on 110 Kennedy Boulevard in Bayonne.
“Our 50th Anniversary year has found us on a success streak. In February it was the $202 million Mega Millions jackpot, in April the $190 million Powerball jackpot, earlier in July it was the CASH4LIFE $1,000 dollars a day for life jackpot and now our second Mega Millions jackpot,” Carey said.
The winning numbers for the Friday, July 24, 2020 drawing are: 08, 33, 39, 54, and 58. The Gold Mega Ball is 17 and the Megaplier is 03. The jackpot winner will receive an estimated prize of $124 million annuity or $100,800,000 in cash.

As the retailer that sold that jackpot ticket, Brenda’s Inc. will receive a celebratory bonus commission check worth $30,000.
Omar Vijay and his wife, who own the tobacco shop where the ticket was sold, called it exciting and said that they hope that it was one of their regular customers.
