Disney World Is Nearly Sold Out For Spring Break - Forbes

rinwengi.blogspot.com

If you’re thinking of a last-minute spring break trip to Walt Disney World, you may be out of luck. Reservations are filling up fast through the key weeks in March and April.

Park passes are already sold out for all Walt Disney World parks next week, reported the Tampa Bay Times, which noted that all four Tampa public school systems are holding their spring break vacations the week of March 14.

Due to continued Covid-19 precautions, Disney World tickets are available strictly through its online reservation system. Disney is still requiring guests to wear face masks, undergo temperature screenings before entering parks and practice social distancing.

When Disney World first reopened last July, park capacity was capped at 25 percent. That was eventually raised to 35 percent.

If you don’t have annual passes, landing theme park reservations for March and early April is a Herculean task. As of today, only Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom have partial availability later in March. The two most visited parks — Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios — are completely booked until April 11.

For annual passholders with unlimited access to tickets, many of whom are Floridians, the story may have a happier ending. Even they have to make a date-specific reservations to visit a Disney park — but it’s much easier to find availability. March 22 is the earliest date when passholders can see openings at all four theme parks, and everything after March 24 is wide open.

Meanwhile, California health officials announced last week that Disneyland and other theme parks may be eligible to reopen beginning April 1 at a reduced capacity.

Health officials continue to warn against non-essential travel until Covid-19 infections decrease some more in the U.S. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is asking Americans to hold off on taking a spring break getaway this year. “Travel increases your chance of getting and spreading Covid-19. Delay travel and stay home to protect yourself and others from Covid-19,” said a recent communications from the agency.
