Publisher Bandai Namco has provided an update on the sales of FromSoftware's juggernaut role-playing title, Elden Ring.
According to Bandai Namco's financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022, Elden Ring has now sold over 13.4 million copies, as of the same time period. Elden Ring previously marked 12 million copies sold just a couple of weeks after launch.
This is a marked increase in sales over the last couple of FromSoftware games. Dark Souls 3, which launched in April 2016, crossed the mark of 10 million copies sold four years later in May 2020, while the Dark Souls series as a whole is over 27 million copies sold, spread across three distinct games and a couple of remasters.
This rate of success doesn't seem to be slowing down for Elden Ring so far. Elden Ring was the number one title on both the February 2022 and March 2022 NPD charts.
