UPDATE: Mega Millions ticket worth $1M sold in N.J. as jackpot jumps to $306M

A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a ShopRite supermarket in South Jersey for Monday’s lottery drawing.

The lucky lottery winner purchased the third-prize ticket at the supermarket on North 2nd Street in Millville in Cumberland County, the New Jersey Lottery said. It matched four of the five main numbers plus the Powerball number.

No one across the nation hit the $296 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.

Monday’s winning numbers were: 19, 26, 30, 39 and 63. The Powerball drawn was 13, with a Power Play of 2x.

In addition, no one hit the secondary $10 million Double Play drawing, Powerball officials said. Those winning numbers were 15, 21, 39, 45 and 53. The Double Play number drawn was 12.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $289 million, with a cash option of $133.3 million.
