Brooklyn Real Estate Six Months Later: Two Sold, One Available, One Off the Market - Brownstoner

rinwengi.blogspot.com

Another week, another look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago, focusing on homes in Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Windsor Terrace and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. How did they fare?

Starting off, this ornate four-story barrel-fronted Renaissance Revival limestone townhouse in Park Slope has a rarely exceeded surfeit of historical detail that doesn’t stop at gilded–or more likely gold-painted — wainscoting. This former Open House Pick is currently off the market.

Next, this handsome brick Italianate corner townhouse in Boerum Hill has all the things, so to speak. Among the more special, a parlor-level oriel projecting over the side facade with arched windows and wood shutters, stained glass transoms in the vestibule and bracketed coffered ceilings. This former House of the Day is still available for a new price of $5.88 million, a price cut of $315,000.

This apartment in Windsor Terrace, originally a one-bedroom rehabbed into two, has been recently gut renovated with light wood finishes and a new kitchen and bathroom. This former Co-op of the Day sold in February for the asking price of $799,000.

Finally, this Queen Anne-style freestanding house in Prospect Lefferts Gardens has a sharply remodeled kitchen while retaining Edwardian details like a Neo-Classical mantel in the dining room with a swag over a glazed tile surround. This former House of the Day sold in February for $1.8 million, which was $50,000 over ask.
